WAPMUA Online Championship Regulations

1. General Provisions

These Online Championship Regulations govern participation in WAPMUA online championships organized, supervised, recognized, or conducted by the World Association of PMU Artists (WAPMUA).

The WAPMUA Online Championship is a professional competition format designed for the evaluation, comparison, and recognition of PMU works within official WAPMUA categories and levels.

By registering for a WAPMUA online championship, the participant confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Regulations, the WAPMUA Terms of Service, applicable judging principles, technical instructions, deadlines, and all official communications issued by WAPMUA.

WAPMUA reserves the right to interpret, update, supplement, or apply these Regulations in accordance with its official internal rules and institutional authority.

2. Purpose of the Championship

The purpose of the WAPMUA Online Championship is to provide a structured professional platform for PMU artists to:

  • submit work for evaluation by an official judging panel;

  • compete within approved PMU categories and levels;

  • receive professional recognition based on submitted work;

  • obtain official results, scores, feedback, certificates, titles, or other forms of recognition where applicable;

  • participate in the broader WAPMUA championship system.

The championship is based on professional evaluation, approved criteria, anonymized judging, and official WAPMUA procedures.

3. Participant Acknowledgement

By registering for a WAPMUA online championship, the participant acknowledges that:

  • the championship is governed by official WAPMUA rules, procedures, and decisions;

  • judging is conducted according to approved WAPMUA criteria;

  • results are calculated through the WAPMUA scoring system;

  • judging may be conducted in an anonymized and aggregated format;

  • individual judge scores are not disclosed to participants;

  • judge names are not linked to specific scores or comments;

  • participant numbers by category are not required elements of public result publication;

  • benefits, prizes, certificates, titles, membership-related benefits, finalist opportunities, and other forms of recognition may depend on the specific championship announcement and WAPMUA decision;

  • WAPMUA retains final authority to interpret rules, verify results, publish official outcomes, and apply corrective or disciplinary measures where necessary.

4. Championship Format

WAPMUA online championships are conducted remotely using online monitoring, digital submission, and internal judging systems.

The format may include:

  • online registration;

  • assignment of participant identifiers;

  • online live monitoring, where applicable;

  • submission of photo and/or video materials;

  • review of submitted materials by the judging panel;

  • calculation of results through the WAPMUA scoring system;

  • publication or communication of official results through approved WAPMUA channels.

The championship may be conducted as a national championship, online semi-final, international stage, qualifying stage, or other official WAPMUA competition format.

WAPMUA may conduct championships directly or through officially authorized organizers, coordinators, or representatives.

5. Categories

WAPMUA online championships may include, but are not limited to, the following PMU categories:

  • Powder Brows;

  • Lips;

  • Hair Stroke Brows;

  • Microblading;

  • Shaded Eyeliner;

  • SMP;

  • PMU Correction & Camouflage;

  • PMU Practice (Latex);

  • other categories approved by WAPMUA.

WAPMUA may add, remove, combine, rename, suspend, or adapt categories depending on the championship format, country, organizer, technical conditions, number of registrations, professional relevance, or other operational considerations.

Participation in one category does not automatically grant the right to participate in another category unless properly registered and approved.

Each category may have its own judging criteria, time limits, submission requirements, technical rules, model requirements, or category-specific instructions.

WAPMUA championships are primarily focused on PMU-related categories. Categories outside the field of PMU may be restricted, rejected, or excluded unless expressly approved by WAPMUA.

6. Participation Levels

WAPMUA championships may include different participation levels, including Junior and Master.

The Junior level is generally intended for participants with up to 2 years of professional experience in PMU.

The Master level is generally intended for participants with 2 or more years of professional experience in PMU, or equivalent professional competence as determined by WAPMUA.

A participant eligible for the Junior level may, where permitted by WAPMUA rules, compete in the Master level.

A participant qualified for the Master level may not compete in the Junior level.

Participants are responsible for selecting the correct level honestly and in accordance with their professional experience.

WAPMUA reserves the right to review, correct, change, reject, or reclassify a participant’s level where necessary.

7. Registration

To participate in a WAPMUA online championship, the participant must complete the official registration process through the WAPMUA website, official organizer, or another approved WAPMUA channel.

Registration may require the submission of:

  • full name;

  • contact details;

  • country;

  • category;

  • participation level;

  • professional information;

  • payment confirmation, where applicable;

  • other information requested by WAPMUA.

Submission of a registration form does not automatically guarantee participation, acceptance, placement, title, certificate, recognition, qualification for a final stage, or any other result.

WAPMUA reserves the right to accept, reject, suspend, cancel, review, or correct registrations where necessary.

Participants must provide accurate and complete information. False, misleading, incomplete, or inappropriate information may result in rejection, suspension, disqualification, or other measures.

8. Entry Fees and Payment Conditions

Participation may be subject to an entry fee or other official payment determined by WAPMUA or an authorized organizer.

Payment of an entry fee does not guarantee:

  • final acceptance into the championship;

  • successful participation;

  • placement;

  • award;

  • title;

  • certificate;

  • recognition;

  • qualification for any final stage;

  • any professional, commercial, legal, immigration, or external outcome.

Unless expressly stated by WAPMUA, an entry fee paid for a national championship, online semi-final, or other qualifying stage applies only to that specific stage and does not include participation in any WAPMUA Final, international final stage, offline event, summit, travel, accommodation, model arrangements, technical arrangements, or other separate final-stage costs.

Participation in a WAPMUA Final or other final stage may require separate confirmation, separate registration, administrative procedures, technical compliance, and payment of a separate entry fee, finalist fee, administrative fee, event fee, or other costs depending on the format of the final stage.

Refunds, transfers, cancellations, credits, or exceptional payment decisions may be governed by WAPMUA Terms of Service, championship-specific notices, organizer rules, or separate official communications.

WAPMUA reserves the right to determine whether a payment is refundable, non-refundable, transferable, or subject to review in specific cases.

9. Participant Dashboard and Access

Participants may receive access to a personal dashboard, participant area, communication channel, upload folder, Zoom link, or other official digital tool.

Access may be used for:

  • receiving championship information;

  • viewing assigned category or timing information;

  • joining online monitoring;

  • uploading materials;

  • receiving official updates;

  • viewing results, where applicable.

Participants are responsible for checking their dashboard, email, official messages, and championship communications regularly.

Failure to check official communications does not release the participant from deadlines, technical requirements, or procedural obligations.

10. Online Monitoring and Live Procedure

Where required, the participant must join the online monitoring session through Zoom or another approved platform.

Participants may be required to join the online session before the start of the procedure, usually at least 15 minutes before the official start time, unless otherwise instructed.

The participant must ensure:

  • stable internet connection;

  • working camera or smartphone;

  • sufficient battery or charging access;

  • tripod or stable camera position;

  • clear visibility of the working area;

  • visibility of the participant and model where required;

  • compliance with hygiene and technical requirements;

  • uninterrupted connection during the procedure where possible.

The purpose of online monitoring is to verify procedure timing, process integrity, and compliance with operational rules.

The main judging panel does not evaluate the live working process unless expressly stated by WAPMUA. Judging is generally based on submitted official materials.

11. Time Limits

Each category and level may have a defined maximum working time.

Unless otherwise stated in championship-specific instructions, standard online championship time limits may include:

  • Master level: up to 2.5 hours per procedure;

  • Master level for Hair Stroke Brows and SMP: up to 3 hours;

  • Junior level: up to 3 hours per procedure;

  • Junior level for Hair Stroke Brows and SMP: up to 3.5 hours.

WAPMUA may adjust time limits by category, format, country, technical condition, or championship-specific rule.

Participants must follow the official timing instructions provided for their category and level.

Exceeding the time limit may result in penalty, review, rejection of materials, disqualification, or another decision by WAPMUA.

12. Models

The participant is responsible for providing a suitable model for the procedure where the category requires work on a model.

The model must be appropriate for the selected category and must be available for the full procedure, monitoring, photo/video documentation, and submission requirements.

If a model does not appear, refuses participation, becomes unavailable, or is unsuitable, the participant remains responsible for the consequences.

WAPMUA may, at its discretion, allow an exception, replacement model, schedule adjustment, or alternative participation arrangement. However, such permission is not guaranteed.

Any exception granted by WAPMUA allows participation only under the approved conditions and does not change the judging standards.

Personal circumstances related to model search, model quality, scheduling, availability, remaining pigment, previous work, or other model-related difficulties are not required to be communicated to judges and do not create special judging conditions.

Where model complexity or initial condition is relevant, it is evaluated visually by judges based on the submitted materials under Model Complexity or the relevant equivalent criterion.

For categories that do not require a live model, such as practice-based or latex categories, specific category instructions may define alternative requirements.

13. Submitted Materials

Participants must submit official materials according to WAPMUA instructions.

Required materials may include:

  • before photos;

  • after photos;

  • close-up or macro photos;

  • mid-distance photos;

  • full-face or contextual photos;

  • video materials;

  • procedure-related documentation;

  • other files required by WAPMUA.

Submission requirements may vary by category and championship format.

Participants must upload materials to the official upload folder, dashboard, form, or submission channel provided by WAPMUA.

Materials must be submitted within the official deadline.

Unless otherwise stated, participants may be required to upload materials within 30 minutes after completion of the procedure.

Late submission may result in review, penalty, exclusion from judging, or disqualification.

14. Originality, Editing, and Visual Integrity

All submitted materials must reflect the actual completed work.

The following are prohibited unless expressly authorized by WAPMUA:

  • photo editing;

  • filters;

  • retouching;

  • artificial correction;

  • skin smoothing;

  • color correction that changes the true result;

  • manipulation of before/after materials;

  • decorative makeup applied after the procedure to improve the visual result;

  • submission of misleading or non-original materials.

Files may be required in original format or in another format specified by WAPMUA.

Any suspected manipulation, edited material, false submission, or misleading documentation may result in rejection, disqualification, review of results, or disciplinary measures.

15. Hygiene and Procedure Integrity

Participants must follow professional hygiene standards and applicable safety principles during the procedure.

Hygiene control may be conducted by a designated hygiene judge, organizer, coordinator, or WAPMUA representative.

Hygiene control may be separate from the main judging panel evaluation.

Failure to comply with hygiene requirements may result in warning, penalty, suspension of participation, disqualification, or other measures.

WAPMUA may issue category-specific, country-specific, or procedure-specific hygiene instructions.

16. Judging System

WAPMUA may use an anonymized, aggregated, or otherwise structured judging system.

Participant works may be presented to judges using participant identifiers, numbers, or internal references instead of participant names.

Judges evaluate works based on:

  • official submitted materials;

  • approved category criteria;

  • participant level;

  • professional and ethical standards of WAPMUA;

  • official judging instructions applicable to the championship.

Judges do not receive information that is not directly relevant to the submitted work unless WAPMUA determines otherwise.

Additional personal, organizational, or individual circumstances of a participant, including model search issues, scheduling difficulties, individual exceptions, private arrangements, or other non-evaluation-related circumstances, are not required to be communicated to judges and do not affect the judging principles.

This structure is intended to reduce bias, protect participants, protect judges, and preserve the integrity of the WAPMUA judging system.

17. Evaluation Criteria

Each category is evaluated according to approved WAPMUA criteria.

Criteria may include, depending on the category:

  • overall harmony;

  • shape;

  • color;

  • symmetry;

  • technical execution;

  • pigment depth;

  • pigment distribution;

  • minimal skin trauma;

  • natural appearance;

  • model complexity;

  • other category-specific criteria.

Detailed judging criteria may be defined in separate WAPMUA Judging Criteria and Evaluation Principles, category instructions, or internal judging documents.

WAPMUA reserves the right to update, clarify, interpret, or apply criteria according to its official system.

18. How Judging Works

After the participant submits the required materials, WAPMUA prepares the entry for judging according to its internal procedure.

Where anonymized judging is used, the judging panel receives the work under a participant identifier, number, or internal reference, without public participant identity.

Judges evaluate the submitted materials according to the official criteria applicable to the participant’s category and level.

Each judge scores the mandatory criteria on a scale from 1 to 10 and may submit professional feedback where required or permitted by WAPMUA.

Judges evaluate independently and do not receive access to other judges’ scores during the evaluation process.

After judging is completed, WAPMUA calculates the final result using the official scoring system, which may include total score, average score, average score by criterion, priority criteria, tie-break procedures, or additional review where necessary.

Results are released only after WAPMUA completes the internal review, calculation, verification, and publication process.

19. Scoring System

Each criterion is scored on a scale from 1 to 10, where:

  • 1 = criterion is not met or the result is critically deficient;

  • 2–3 = low level of performance;

  • 4–5 = below average / acceptable with significant weaknesses;

  • 6–7 = good professional level;

  • 8–9 = very strong result;

  • 10 = outstanding result, fully meeting the expected standard at the highest level.

Each judge must score all mandatory criteria for the category being evaluated.

Final results may be calculated using:

  • total score;

  • average score;

  • average score by criterion;

  • priority criteria;

  • ranking logic;

  • tie-break rules;

  • additional review procedures;

  • other official calculation methods approved by WAPMUA.

WAPMUA may use aggregated final evaluations submitted by the judging panel to calculate final placements and results.

20. Aggregated Results and Participant Feedback

WAPMUA may provide participants with aggregated result information after results are released.

Participants may receive, where made available by WAPMUA:

  • category and level;

  • final placement or result status;

  • total score;

  • average score;

  • average score by criterion;

  • criterion explanations;

  • anonymized judging panel feedback.

Participant feedback is intended to support professional understanding and development.

Feedback does not constitute a public discussion, appeal procedure, individual judge report, or guarantee of result revision.

21. Information Not Provided to Participants

Participants do not receive:

  • names of judges linked to specific scores;

  • individual scores from each judge;

  • average score of any individual judge;

  • comparison with other participants;

  • internal judging notes;

  • administrative or technical scoring data;

  • internal calculations not made available by WAPMUA;

  • operational statistics not included in official publication.

Individual judge scores are not disclosed in order to preserve judge independence, prevent pressure on judges, protect participants and judges from conflicts, and maintain the integrity of the WAPMUA judging system.

22. Information Available to Judges

Judges may have access to their own scores and comments during the evaluation process through the WAPMUA judging system, where such access is technically available.

WAPMUA is not required to provide judges with:

  • individual reports;

  • downloadable reports;

  • comparative tables;

  • summaries of other judges’ evaluations;

  • participant rankings;

  • final placements;

  • internal calculations;

  • information about other judges’ scores.

Judges must not disclose, distribute, publish, transfer, or discuss non-public judging information unless expressly authorized by WAPMUA.

23. Judging Panel Feedback

Comments submitted by judges may be provided to participants in an anonymized or aggregated format.

WAPMUA reserves the right not to publish, display, or share judge comments if they:

  • contain personal data;

  • identify a judge;

  • include inappropriate, unethical, or irrelevant wording;

  • do not meet WAPMUA professional communication standards;

  • may create a conflict of interest;

  • may compromise judging independence;

  • may damage the integrity of the judging process.

WAPMUA may edit, withhold, exclude, or moderate feedback where necessary to protect the professionalism, clarity, legality, or integrity of the communication.

24. Tie-Breaks

If two or more participants receive the same total score within the same category and level, WAPMUA may apply priority criteria, ranking logic, central review, additional review, or another official tie-break procedure.

Tie-break rules may be defined in judging criteria, category rules, internal scoring systems, or championship-specific instructions.

If the result remains equal after applying the available tie-break procedure, WAPMUA may issue the final decision through its authorized internal authority.

25. Results Publication

Only results published or confirmed by WAPMUA through official channels are considered official.

Official channels may include:

  • WAPMUA website;

  • participant dashboard;

  • official social media channels;

  • certificates;

  • official written communication;

  • email;

  • other approved WAPMUA communication channels.

WAPMUA may determine the form, scope, timing, and content of result publication, including whether to publish:

  • placements;

  • titles;

  • scores;

  • works;

  • names;

  • categories;

  • levels;

  • profiles;

  • certificates;

  • other result-related information.

WAPMUA may publish results gradually, by category, by level, by country, or according to an internal publication schedule.

26. Operational Data and Participant Numbers

Registration numbers, participant numbers by category, no-shows, late or missing submissions, disqualified entries, anonymous participation, withdrawn entries, and other operational or administrative data are not required elements of public result publication unless WAPMUA expressly decides otherwise.

WAPMUA publishes official results based on accepted, submitted, reviewed, and evaluated works.

Registration numbers, accepted entries, submitted works, and evaluated works may differ.

The publication or non-publication of operational data does not affect the validity of championship results, placements, titles, certificates, or recognitions officially confirmed by WAPMUA.

27. Certificates, Titles, Benefits, and Recognition

Participants may receive certificates, titles, badges, listings, public recognition, membership-related benefits, sponsor or partner gifts, invitations, finalist opportunities, or other official materials depending on the championship format, result, country, level, category, official announcement, and WAPMUA decision.

WAPMUA may issue or grant, where applicable:

  • participation certificates;

  • winner certificates;

  • placement certificates;

  • champion titles;

  • category or level distinctions;

  • digital badges;

  • website listings;

  • winner or champion profiles;

  • public directory visibility;

  • social media announcements;

  • official spotlight publications;

  • membership-related benefits;

  • Platinum Membership or other membership status for a defined period;

  • sponsor or partner gifts, where available;

  • invitations, eligibility, or priority consideration for further WAPMUA opportunities;

  • other forms of recognition determined by WAPMUA.

Specific benefits, prizes, certificates, titles, membership benefits, profile publications, sponsor packages, finalist invitations, or other forms of recognition may be defined in championship-specific announcements, official championship pages, emails, certificates, organizer communications, or other WAPMUA-approved channels.

Unless expressly stated by WAPMUA, benefits and recognition connected to a national championship, online semi-final, or qualifying stage may differ from benefits and recognition connected to a WAPMUA Final, international final stage, summit, offline event, or other separate WAPMUA activity.

Where WAPMUA grants membership-related benefits, Platinum Membership, champion profile publication, public directory placement, or similar visibility benefits, such benefits may be subject to separate conditions, profile submission requirements, moderation, verification, renewal rules, technical availability, expiry, and WAPMUA approval.

Membership-related benefits granted as part of a championship result do not necessarily create permanent membership rights unless expressly stated by WAPMUA. Such benefits may be granted for a defined period and may be subject to renewal, suspension, correction, limitation, or expiry according to WAPMUA rules.

Sponsor gifts, partner packages, physical certificates, printed materials, shipping, event invitations, finalist benefits, or additional prizes may vary by country, organizer, category, sponsor availability, championship format, and WAPMUA decision.

Any title, certificate, recognition, membership-related benefit, public listing, profile, publication, finalist opportunity, or status is valid only when officially issued, confirmed, activated, or published by WAPMUA.

WAPMUA may correct, suspend, revoke, or revise any certificate, title, placement, membership benefit, profile listing, recognition, prize, publication, finalist opportunity, or result in case of error, violation, fraud, disqualification, technical issue, procedural irregularity, misuse of WAPMUA status, or other valid reason determined by WAPMUA.

28. Qualification for WAPMUA Final and National Representation

WAPMUA national championships and online semi-finals may serve as qualifying stages for the WAPMUA Final, international final stage, or another official final event determined by WAPMUA.

A participant who receives 1st Place in their category and level is considered the primary representative of the relevant national stage for the WAPMUA Final, subject to confirmation of participation, compliance with deadlines, technical requirements, final-stage rules, and final approval by WAPMUA.

By participating in a national championship or online semi-final, participants acknowledge that 1st Place winners may be included in the national team or official list of representatives for the WAPMUA Final.

The 1st Place winner is expected to confirm participation in the WAPMUA Final within the deadline and in the manner determined by WAPMUA.

If the 1st Place winner does not confirm participation, refuses participation, fails to meet final-stage requirements, does not comply with technical or administrative conditions, or is unable to participate for personal, organizational, financial, visa, medical, or other reasons, WAPMUA may offer or transfer the finalist position to the next eligible participant in the same category and level, including 2nd Place, 3rd Place, or another participant determined by WAPMUA.

Refusal, inability, or failure to participate in the WAPMUA Final does not automatically revoke the participant’s national placement, certificate, or title, unless WAPMUA determines that there has been a violation, fraud, misconduct, or another valid reason to review the result.

However, the right to represent the national stage in the WAPMUA Final may be transferred, reassigned, cancelled, or otherwise managed by WAPMUA where necessary to preserve the structure, representation, and integrity of the championship system.

The WAPMUA Final may be conducted online, offline, or in a combined format. The format, date, location, categories, levels, technical requirements, judging system, registration conditions, benefits, prizes, certificates, titles, membership benefits, publication rules, and other final-stage rules shall be determined separately by WAPMUA.

Participation in the WAPMUA Final may require separate confirmation, separate registration, participation in administrative procedures, and payment of a separate entry fee, finalist fee, administrative fee, event fee, or other costs related to the format of the final stage.

Payment of an entry fee for a national championship, online semi-final, or other qualifying stage does not include participation in the WAPMUA Final, international final stage, offline event, summit, travel, accommodation, model arrangements, technical arrangements, or other final-stage costs unless expressly stated by WAPMUA.

The composition of national teams, finalist lists, substitute finalists, and the right to represent a national stage shall be determined by WAPMUA based on official results, participation confirmation, participant availability, compliance with final-stage requirements, and WAPMUA rules.

29. Disqualification and Procedural Violations

WAPMUA may disqualify, suspend, reject, review, or limit a participant’s result in cases including, but not limited to:

  • failure to attend the required online session;

  • failure to follow procedure timing;

  • late submission of materials;

  • missing required materials;

  • edited, filtered, retouched, or manipulated materials;

  • submission of false or misleading information;

  • use of an unsuitable or unauthorized model;

  • lack of visibility during monitoring;

  • violation of hygiene rules;

  • unauthorized assistance;

  • disrespectful or abusive behavior;

  • interference with the judging process;

  • attempt to influence judges;

  • breach of WAPMUA rules, ethics, or official instructions.

WAPMUA may apply corrective measures instead of disqualification where appropriate.

30. Technical Issues

Participants are responsible for ensuring technical readiness, including internet connection, device functionality, camera visibility, battery power, upload access, and file availability.

Technical problems on the participant’s side do not automatically create a right to deadline extension, rescheduling, refund, re-evaluation, or alternative participation.

WAPMUA may review technical issues on a case-by-case basis and may allow reasonable adjustments where appropriate and operationally possible.

Technical interruptions, platform errors, upload issues, or communication delays may be managed according to WAPMUA discretion and official instructions.

31. Communication

Official communication may be conducted through:

  • email;

  • participant dashboard;

  • WhatsApp or other group communication channels;

  • direct messages;

  • Zoom or online platforms;

  • official website announcements;

  • official organizer communication;

  • other approved WAPMUA channels.

Participants must follow official communication channels and instructions.

Informal messages, unofficial opinions, or third-party statements are not official WAPMUA decisions unless confirmed by WAPMUA through an approved channel.

32. Appeals, Reviews, and Corrections

Championship results are based on official judging procedures and final calculations approved by WAPMUA.

Participants may request clarification where permitted, but no participant has an automatic right to appeal, re-judging, re-scoring, access to individual judge scores, or result revision.

WAPMUA may review results, scores, materials, or procedures where it identifies:

  • technical error;

  • calculation error;

  • procedural irregularity;

  • rule violation;

  • suspected fraud;

  • conflict of interest;

  • other issue affecting the integrity of the result.

Any review, correction, suspension, revision, or final decision remains at the discretion of WAPMUA.

33. Code of Conduct

Participants must behave respectfully toward WAPMUA, judges, organizers, coordinators, other participants, models, and representatives.

The following behavior may result in restriction, warning, disqualification, exclusion, or other measures:

  • harassment;

  • threats;

  • abusive language;

  • public defamation;

  • pressure on judges;

  • attempts to obtain confidential judging data;

  • manipulation of public communication;

  • spreading false or misleading claims;

  • misuse of WAPMUA name, status, title, or result;

  • other conduct harmful to the championship or WAPMUA system.

34. Final Authority of WAPMUA

WAPMUA retains final authority to interpret these Regulations, apply rules, resolve disputes, publish results, approve titles, review procedures, correct errors, and take any measure necessary to protect the integrity of the championship.

All official decisions, results, placements, titles, certificates, recognitions, benefits, finalist opportunities, and administrative determinations remain subject to WAPMUA approval and confirmation.

In the event of inconsistency between these Regulations and championship-specific instructions, official championship pages, final-stage instructions, or other WAPMUA communications, WAPMUA retains final authority to interpret and apply the relevant rules within its system.

35. Updates to These Regulations

WAPMUA may update, revise, supplement, or replace these Regulations at any time.

The version published or communicated by WAPMUA at the relevant time shall apply, unless otherwise determined by WAPMUA.

Continued registration, participation, or use of WAPMUA championship systems constitutes acceptance of the applicable Regulations.
